Terms of service

1. What PollTrip is
PollTrip provides a simple web tool to plan group trips together: you create a poll with one or more date-range options (for example a Friday–Sunday window), share a link with your group, and collect availability using yes / maybe / no votes per option. There are no user accounts in the current version—poll creation and voting work without signing up.
2. Accepting these terms
By using PollTrip (including visiting the site, creating a poll, or voting), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. How the service works
- Each poll has a short random URL (/p/[slug]). Anyone who has the link can open the poll and cast votes unless you keep the URL private.
- Voters enter a participant name as free text. Names are not verified and do not prove real-world identity—treat results as self-reported by whoever holds the link.
- Polls may include a title, optional description, optional closing time, and up to several date-range options. Vote data (including names and choices) is stored so the group can see combined results.
- Your browser may store recent poll links locally on your device (for example to show a “recent polls” list). That happens only in your browser and is described further in our Privacy page.
4. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for what you submit (poll titles, descriptions, names, and votes). Do not use PollTrip for unlawful content, harassment, spam, or to impersonate others. Shared links can expose information to everyone in the group—do not share personal data you are not allowed to share.
We may refuse or remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, though we do not routinely moderate polls.
5. No guarantee
PollTrip is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that data will never be lost, or that the service fits any particular trip-planning or legal need. Availability can be affected by the internet, maintenance, or factors outside our control.
PollTrip helps groups compare availability—it is not legal, financial, or travel advice, and not a substitute for contracts, insurance, or bookings you arrange elsewhere.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PollTrip and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, missed trips, or disputes within your group arising from use of the service. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using PollTrip.
7. Privacy
How we handle information connected to polls and votes is described in our Privacy notice. Using the service means you have reviewed that notice where required by law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or change or discontinue PollTrip or features (including free access) at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We may delete or stop making available old polls or data as part of changing or ending the product.
